Community Regeneration

The Community Regeneration team works with communities to identify priority issues within that community, and bring together a range of agencies from the public, private, voluntary, business and community sectors to work together to improve the quality of life for local people. Community Regeneration recognises that the needs of local people cannot be met by just one organisation; and that by working together, better and more responsive services can be delivered.

The Community Regeneration team support local community groups to achieve their aims and objectives, engage with the local community and develop projects which deliver improvements in health and well being, employability, the local environment, and financial inclusion.

Community Regeneration is made up of Community Regeneration Officers (CRO's), health professionals, a parent action worker and voluntary sector support. The Community Regeneration Officers have developed Ward Action Plans for each of the nine multi-member wards in West Lothian. These are available below and show the work that the Regeneration Officer is involved in for each area.
