Livingston is 50

Livingston's 50th anniversary is growing as more people and community groups develop their own ideas for ways to celebrate. It is hoped that every Livingston community and people of all ages will get involved if they wish.

Take a look through the pages here to discover the plans that are already being worked on such as: a family fun day in The Centre; a show featuring the different fashions through the decades; an exhibition of art by local pupils on the theme of  'what Livingston means to me'; a fun in the park event; a tea dance; and a Highland Games for schools.

A special piece of music has been composed "Livingston Celebration", and a CD will be available to buy. The message to people who are from Livingston is "come and join the party". If you live in the town and are also celebrating your 50th birthday this year, you could be at Livingston?s 50th party at Howden Park Centre, email name and details to: Livingstons50thBirthday@westlothian.gov.uk
